There
are several rules that must apply to discussions on this website.
Everyone is welcome to comment, and to participate in discussions with
myself and with others. In commenting on this website you automatically
agree to the rules specified below.
First, I believe in the universal freedom of expression. However, I
will not tolerate threats, intimidation, or insults toward myself or
other commentators. It is expected of everyone that he or she behaves
as a civilized adult. Further, as the comments on the pages of this
website are facilitated through the use of a Facebook comment plug-in,
Facebook's Terms of Service and Community Standards apply also.
I recommend every person using the comments plug-in
familiarize themselves with Facebook's Terms
of Service & Community Standards (those links
open in another window).
Regardless of whether you've read these rules or not, and
Facebook's ToS and Community Standards, they will be enforced. Any
comments deemed to be in violation of the following rules or Facebook's
ToS
and Community Standards may be deleted, and the violator
will be banned from further commenting. If such violations happen to
also be in
violation of law, the violator may also be reported to
the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
Rules:

No threats, no intimidation, and no insults. This includes Ad
Hominems (a fallacy of attacking the arguer rather than the argument).

- No harassment, sexual or any other kind.

No bigotry, including: racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.

No incitement, this includes trolling. It also includes conspiracy
to commit a crime.

No solicitation, of any kind. If you want to advertise your service
or product or work, please create your own website or pay to advertise
through the appropriate venues. Any exceptions to this are solely at my
discretion, and if you ask the answer will be “no”. I can, however,
point you in the direction of some good advice on building your own
website. At the cheapest, you can expect to spend close to $100 (US) to
get started (that's just for domain registration and web-hosting, and
possibly a webpage editor), if you do all the work yourself. And,
likely a little more than $100 at the cheap end of the spectrum.
6.
- No spam, or links to a phishing site, or virus-infected links, or
hijacking links, all such links will be deleted and the offender will
be banned.
If you see any comment which you believe violates the rules, please
flag it as inappropriate or send a note through the “Contact” page
explaining such. I will check it out. However, I moderate at my
leisure, which means it can take a little while for action to be taken.
Please be patient.
The overall theme of my management of discussions on my site can be
visualized as if we're all adults having a civilized discussion at a
table. If you would not say it to someone face-to-face, then you should
not say it here. After all, disagreement does not need to include
insults, threats, intimidation, or treating people like idiots.
